How to bypass 24 hours limit Google Drive

Has this ever happened to you?

Do you have no clue what to do in this scenario?
Then look no further, as we have the answer for you.

In this tutorial, we will show you step-by-step what you can to do bypass that pesky message, and be able to download whatever file you’re having trouble downloading.
In order to do this, you must be logged in with a Google account / Gmail.

Step 0: If you get direct links, you need change url.

Direct link:

Change “uc” to “open” like this

Step 1: Stay on this page and do NOT press “Download” or you will just be sent to the page shown in the picture above.
While on this page, click on the first icon on the top right of the page, which has the Google Drive logo on it, to add the file to your Drive.

Step 2: When it says “Added to My Drive”, open your drive.

Step 3: Now, in your Google Drive, right-click the file that you just added to your drive, and click on “Make a copy”

Step 4: Download the copy.

If you’re downloading from Otomi-Games, you can safely click “Download Anyway” as all of the games are safe and do not contain any viruses.

Step 5: After downloading the file, select both the original file and the copy on your Google Drive, right-click and press “Remove”.

Step 6: Press “Trash” on the left side-bar, then right-click the copy and press “Delete Forever”
If you don’t do this, you might reach the 15GB limit that the free Google Drive offers you
Just removing the files is not enough, because they’ll stay in the Trash
PS: The reason only the copy is in the Trash is because when you add the original file to your Google Drive, it’s basically like making a shortcut. So when you try and open it, it leads you to the original page where everyone else is downloading it from, and so, if a lot of people are downloading it at once, you will get the 24 hour limit page. But when you make a copy, you’re copying the actual file into your Google Drive, and so, when you download it, you’re the ONLY person downloading it, in comparison to the other file 🙂

And that’s pretty much it! If you have any questions, please leave them down below and we will try to help with your problems 🙂

  1. due to newer google drive update, add to my drive icon became add shortcut to drive instead.

  2. A friendly tip, because the add to drive icon was removed, you can click on the three dots and add star to the file. open your drive, and go to starred tab, and continue from step 3
